Original Vintage 50's / 60's Diana Warren Pink Evening Prom ball Dress

This is a lovely simple evening dress but it still manages to be elegant and sophisticated. The straight shape means that the dress hits your curves and gives you a sexy silhouette. A fold at the neckline adds some volume to your bust to enhance or create curves here.

The fabric is a slinky satin with a horizontal rib which reflects the light wonderfully to give you almost a glow. At the back of the dress there is a zip to fasten the inner layer but the slit on the outer layer is left alomost fully undone with just two hook and eyes holding it together. The buttons on the section of fabric used to secure the hook and eyes create a double breasted effect.

Diana Warren wasn't a designer but a fashion boutique located on the Promenade at Blackpool from the 1950s to the 1970s. It was one of the main outlets in the north of England at that time.

It's in very good vintage condition

Terms of Sale

We are committed to the highest standards in authenticity and preparation of the vintage clothes we sell, and do our best to ensure that you won't find any unexpected problems with them.

But these are always one-off items, with non-standard sizing and around 40 to 80 years old, so only rarely will they be in mint condition.

Bearing all that in mind, we want you to be thrilled with anything you buy from us, so if you have any reason to think that it is not right, please drop us a line. We will always accept returns (14 days, and you will need to pay the return postage cost) and can either exchange for an alternative (in which case, we'll cover the cost of shipping the exchange item to you) or give a refund on the cost of the item (the shipping charge will then normally be deducted from the refund you receive).

The actual dress measurements are specified in my listing above.

A good way to check sizing is to use the measurements provided to compare against a similar dress of your own which you know fits you well.

I do give dress sizes for guidance, and just so you know, this is how I work it out:

UK size Bust in cm Waist in cm Hips in cm Euro size
8 80 - 84 62 - 66 87 - 91 36
10 84 - 88 66 - 70 91 - 96 38
