Beautiful long black vintage dress made by Berketex around the 1970s in good condition. Designed with a combination of velvet and chiffon decorated with velvet circles this is a very striking dress.
Velvet is also used at the hem of the skirt in a deep 8.5" band and on the 4" sleeve cuffs. There is a long zip at centre back which also has 2 hooks and eyes for additional fastenings.
It measures approx 52.5" long from the centre back of the neck edge to the hem and 14" from the centre back of the neck edge to the waist. A 3" deep velvet band defines the waist which measures approx 28". The bust measures approx 38" and hips 36". The bodice and skirt are lined with black fabric - the sleeves are unlined as can be seen in the photographs.
The dress is in good condition with normal wear and tear for a garment of this age - no major flaws can be seen.
Pick up from Buckinghamshire can be arranged.

Welcome to the Players' Emporium who are linked to an English amateur dramatics group - Chesham Bois Catholic Players - who were first formed in 1953. Our group is thriving with membership open to all (regardless of faith!) and we have had many groups of parents and children performing together.
Over 60 years later, our props, wardrobe and costume stores are bulging at the seams with custom made pieces and retro and vintage clothing for men, women and children. So, from time to time we'll be selling certain pieces - your chance to snap up a little history.
We are a registered British charity (287109) and all money made from selling items onRETruly will be put back into the Players, hopefully enabling us to carry on for many years to come.
