This lovely little 1930s deco table has been painted in Annie Sloan, colour Paloma, which is a light grey with slightly lilac tones, then 2 coats of Paris grey, which is a light grey.
There is some French narrative stencilled on the table top. This has been done in a darker grey, and mauve, and is deliberately very pale, so it looks like it has faded with age.
It has been very lightly distressed - again to imply age, and then waxed with a clear wax, to protect the paint.
The table is solid wood.
It's a slightly odd shape, with a taller, smaller oval top over a larger oval. Lovely curved shape to the stand.
All pretty typical art deco style.
The circular indentation in the top table would probably have originally been for an ashtray, but would easily serve as a place for your keys/ loose change if it's in the hall, or for a cup or glass of wine if it's used as a side table.
