Beautiful long blue floral dress made in England by Chateau D'este in, I would estimate, the 1970s. It is in very good condition, with no obvious flaws.
The scoop neck dress features a striking floral design and has piping around the underbust as seen in one of the photographs. The set in sleeves are gathered and flounced over, ending in a gathered ruffle as shown. It fastens with a long back zip. The polyester cotton dress has a lining of what looks to be a blue/purple acetate type fabric. The bodice, skirt and sleeves (to the flounce) are lined.
The label says it is a size 14 but I have measured the dress and the approximate measurements are:
Bust 36", under bust 26", sleeve length to start of ruffle 12" (total length of sleeve 18"), total length of dress from back nape to hem 52".
Do let me know if you've any questions - all proceeds will be put back into our amateur dramatics charity in England.
The dress will be packaged up well and sent by signed, insured Royal Mail delivery to UK only.
Welcome to the Players' Emporium who are linked to an English amateur dramatics group - Chesham Bois Catholic Players - who were first formed in 1953. Our group is thriving with membership open to all (regardless of faith!) and we have had many groups of parents and children performing together.
Over 60 years later, our props, wardrobe and costume stores are bulging at the seams with custom made pieces and retro and vintage clothing for men, women and children. So, from time to time we'll be selling certain pieces - your chance to snap up a little history.
We are a registered British charity (287109) and all money made from selling items onRETruly will be put back into the Players, hopefully enabling us to carry on for many years to come.
